Single Leg Hops for Lacrosse: Part 3

-May 26th, 2020-

Part 3 of our Single Leg Hop Series for Lacrosse players features Rotational Hops. By adding a 1/4 turn we get to apply another unique force at the knee.

Almost all ACL tears happen when the knee caves in and rotates, so by applying these forces we are training the body to resist them reducing the odds of injury going forward.

Part 1 was Linear Hops (Sagittal Plane).

Part 2 was Lateral Hops (Frontal Plane).

Part 3 is Rotational Hops (Transverse Plane).

We have now trained in all 3 Planes of movement.

Again start with 2 sets of 6-8 reps of each and make yourself more resilient to injury and increase your balance and stability.
