This Had To Be The Highlight of The 2012 US Lacrosse Convention

-January 19th, 2012-

Last year I attended the US Lacrosse Convention for the first time and had a great time. I got to experience something that just doesn’t exist in Canada.

It was amazing to see how many people traveled from all over the country to attend. It was literally all lacrosse, all the time. I loved every minute of it. The amount of knowledge that was shared at the conference was amazing.

College coaches teaching systems they are still using openly to high school coaches. Pro players showing the drills they use to improve their skills and gain an advantage over the competition.

And then of course my favorite part was the Strength Coaches like Rashad Devoe, Ben Shear, and Jay Dyer teaching, explaining, and even walking attendees through some drills to experience what they were learning.

But one thing the 2011 Convention didn’t have that the 2012 Convention did was The Powell Hour!

I saw this video and immediately thought this had to be the best part of the 2012 Convention. Casey Powell ripping shots and Mikey Powell, well, being Mikey I guess. I would have loved to sit through an hour of that guy being mic’d up.

I hope they do this again at the 2013 Convention because I know I will be attending that one.

P.S. If you want to learn from some of the Strength Coaches I mentioned plus many more (including myself!) check out Lacrosse Training Experts!
